D | 但他们即使不敢出门，也并不表示他们有更好的安全感。老人家在家跌倒或是因记忆力差忘了关电关水喉而酿成的家庭事故，时有所闻。所以，家对独居老人而言并不是最安全的。鼓励他们每天都花点时间到组屋楼下活动活动，认识更多邻里，与邻居有更多的互动，融入社区生活才是更人性化的做法。要鼓励老人家走出家门，环境设备就必须有相应的鼓励作用。四周环境翻新国家发展部长李智陞前天（8月25日）就宣布了建屋发展局推出新的“乐龄翻新计划“（Silver Upgrading Programme）。国家发展部长李智陞。（联合早报）新计划会在本地年长居民较多的组屋区展开，并配合“乐龄SG计划“打造更亲乐龄的邻里，有助年长者原地养老。加上“乐龄易计划2.0”，单是翻新名堂就让人看得眼花缭乱。这些翻新计划名称要让人记住都不容易，更何况是乐龄人士？但这些问题都不大，最重要的是政府提出了名字很有创意的翻新计划之后，就要有实际的行动。约2万4000名在宏茂桥、红山、女皇镇和大巴窑26个组屋邻里生活的年长者，将是首批在环境设施改善计划下的受惠者。届时会添加更多座椅、无障碍坡道、康疗花园、多代游乐场等等，增加不同年龄层居民的互动机会。从屋里到屋外，设想周到，全面打造一个人人“出入平安“的生活环境，为老龄化社会作好准备。宏茂桥、红山、女皇镇和大巴窑的邻里将展开翻新，增设更多方便年长者的公共设施，预计将惠及2万4000人。图为崇文区Chong Boon Heights康疗花园的构想图。（建屋发展局）巴士转换站翻新另一方面，陆路交通管理局日前也宣布，政府拨出约1亿零500万新元改善七个较老旧的巴士转换站，增添更便于年长者、特需者和家庭使用的候车空间，提升乘车体验。工程从今年8月起陆续展开，最迟2027年完工。这七个巴士转换站位于宏茂桥、勿洛、文礼、金文泰、盛港、实龙岗及大巴窑。

E | 这些转换站是在2002年至2014年之间建成，说老不老，说年轻也不年轻。工程将着重改善无障碍通行，增添类似新巴士转换站所有的设施。新加坡首个设有冷气的大巴窑巴士转换站，是其中一个将展开改善工程的转换站，包括增设优先候车区、增加座位和婴儿室。根据陆交局在周边张挂的布条，工程会在今年第三季动工，预计2026年第四季完工。

F | （联合早报）例如，在候车处旁设“优先候车区”，让年长者和行动不便者等巴士或上下车更便利；增加座位；为地面铺设协助视障者辨认方向的凸纹及在扶手上加盲文点字（Braille）；建设方便轮椅进出的厕所、育婴室、有儿童设施的家庭厕所等。其他工程包括更换和翻新冷气系统和照明，以及翻新员工休息室和客服中心等等。

G | 冷气化巴士转换站的出现曽被视为划时代的壮举，新加坡人已适应冷气化的环境，巴士转换站进一步改善之后，设施变得更加贴心和安全，对鼓励人们多使用公共交通，放弃汽车可起实际作用。不断翻新，不断改善，有些人视之为政府有钱，理所当然。也有些人 “身在福中不知福“，动不动说要移居。生活环境水平的提升靠政府，国民素质的提升恐怕就要靠自己了。。
